A Bit About Me

I'm a University of Southampton graduate who ultimately wants to become a great founder, and lead teams to build world changing products. I know I have a lot to learn if I want to achieve my goals, and I believe the optimal strategy to do so is to lead or directly support an experienced team or company on their mission. I am an avid learner and my strong suits are product development and problem solving. With exposure to different cultures, extensive travel experience and my qualifications I have a well rounded skillset that is an asset to any team. I also speak 3 languages - English, Hindi and Sindhi.

I was born and raised in the small island of Bahrain. Throughout my childhood I attended several international schools, exposing me to a multitude of cultures and personalities. It was in school where my passion for public speaking bloomed. I was constantly engaged with Model United Nations and debating conferences throughout highschool. This enabled me to travel to several conferences globally and make friends from all over the world. Not only did these experiences allow me to interact with anyone regardless of their culture, but they also made me the person I am. Critical thinking, leadership, and complex problem solving were skills I had to practice on a daily basis, which truly spurred my personal growth. In addition to Bahrain, I have lived in the United States and the United Kingdom.

I joined the University of Southampton in 2016 on an integrated masters of mechanical engineering program. Over the course of this four year program I discovered my passion for product design and development. I was also given the chance to delve into several engineering disciples such as electrical, mechanical, thermal, chemical, civil and biomedical engineering. Taking such a wide variety of classes allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set that can be utilised in any team.

I also became a more curious individual overall. I've been actively interacting with crypto, web3 and DeFi since early 2020 and have developed a deep rooted interest in these fields. As a result I started writing a newsletter about finanaical markets, crypto and DeFi in early 2022 - click here to read it. In May 2022, I started working at Aver - a universal liquidity protocol for blockchain betting and prediction markets on Solana. At Aver, I've been working on go-to-market strategy, operations, business development, project management, marketing, content creation and more. I've learnt a lot in the process. Most importantly, I became a part of the vast ecosystem that exists in Web3 and have learnt how to navigate it.

I'm interested in working in cryptocurrency, web3, financial consulting or engineering design related roles. My other interests are playing guitar, playing tennis, cooking, and investing.
